Favorites: Melissa’s Mother’s Day Recommendations

Melissa has said that her two greatest creations are her son and daughter, so Mother’s Day holds a special meaning for her, as well as her team members. Here are some of Melissa’s Mother’s Day recommendations. Enjoy!

Melissa in her new showroom Plein Air Atelier

You can never go wrong presenting Mom with jewelry. One of my favorites is a necklace (similar to this one) designed by Nickho Rey. Some of my favorite shops for jewelry and accessories are Kickpleat, Tootsies, and Matthew Trent.

It’s always nice when Mom doesn’t have to cook on Mother’s Day. Here’s one of my favorite brunch experiences at the Crescent Court Hotel. A few of my other favorite places include Cafe Pacific and Al Biernat’s (where I have gone with my kids for years).

A gift certificate for a day at the spa is always a hit with Mom. We love all of those wonderful services like massages, facials, wraps, and more. One of my other favorites is a mani-pedi at Mini Luxe.

Nothing beats a family portrait and Mother’s Day is a great reason to get your crew together. We love the portraits by John Derryberry. Another favorite for portraits is John Cain.

5. Vases and vessels from Plein Air Atelier

Present your Mom with flowers and a stunning vase or vessel from Plein Air Atelier, our new outdoor furnishings and accessories showroom in the Dallas Design District. We love the vases by artists Ellen Robinson and Nathalee Paolonelli and sculpture by Tara Vaughn.
