Introducing: Favorites

We all have favorite things and places. Every now and then, Melissa Gerstle Design will share favorites from our team, our colleagues, and surprise guests. We’re starting off with five of my favorites…and why I chose them.

Because even household chores should be done with style

  • Comes in a variety of fun colors

  • It brings me extra joy when I’m watering my plants

  • It just looks good inside my house - even if it’s just resting on the counter

  • As I always say, “ If you pot it, flaunt it.”

Because I travel a lot for work and fun, this beautiful and functional luggage set is a must have.

  • I get compliments on it wherever I go

  • I love the personalization with monograms

  • Fabulous tote available that connects easily to the roll aboard and makes it easy to zip through the airport with everything compactly connected

  • I also love the stylish accessories for cosmetics  which I grab and go for all my trips

Because it combines architecture + craftsmanship, it’s a favorite (along with a few others in my closet from Perrin).

  • This sophisticated basket weave purse can be worn either as a crossbody or as a handbag.

  • I love it because it’s a real conversation piece!

  • When PERRIN PARIS was founded in 1893 it was the premier purveyor of leather gloves for the couture houses

  • This bag feels both classic and modern — two elements we always add to our landscape designs

Because it’s the only lipstick I’ve used that feels more like a moisturizer than a lipstick.

  • Sydney at 8 AM is the perfect nude shade

  • It’s a clean beauty product enhanced with Manuka honey which makes it feel as good as it looks

  • Disclaimer: my BFF owns this company so I love supporting her when I wear it!

Because any excuse to bring Biophilia into the home always gets me.

  • The sculptural forms and customization of these vessels are particularly outstanding

  • The designs allow you to make a statement and turn plants into works of art

  • Based in San Francisco, the studio partners with showrooms across the United States, and will soon be available at Plein Air Atelier!
